Many gamers were wondering just how many disks the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII would be. After US retailer, Gamefly, apparently spilled the beans about exactly how many, Square Enix have posted an official announcement that it will be three DVDs.

“Yes the game is on three DVDs for the 360,”

Everyone knew it would happen eventually, but a circulating CV around the Square Enix offices has all but confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV will be playable on the XBox 360 as well.

Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of Final Fantasy XIII, has been speaking in a few interviews regarding the game and keeping interest in FFXIII in the Western mind, as the company gear up to release the game in the West this March.
The Japanese theme song proved to contain difficulties when translating it into English, so Square Enix decided to go with another approach; an experiment:

The producer of Final Fantasy XIII, Yoshinori Kitase, has revealed that the game was destined to be released on the Playstation 2.
Square Enix decided later that the game should be moved to be produced for the Playstation 3, which made Kitase and his team lose a year and a half of their developing time.
“Final Fantasy XIII was originally meant to be a PS2 title, but we had to switch systems due to the arrival of the PS3"

Final Fantasy is set to be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in the West on March the 9th. Square Enix have announced today that there will be a limited collectors edition launched alongside the regular edition.

Famitsu recently has an eight page spread focusing on the character of Cloud Strife and interviewed Tetsuya Nomura regarding the history of Final Fantasy VII.
Nomura stated that many fans had been requesting Square Enix to revisit Final Fantasy VII but it seems that the company dont have the project on the cards at the moment:

Question marks have been raised over the newly released fact that Square Enix have raised 386 million dollars through a zero coupon convertible bond.

Square Enix are keeping their promise of releasing information and the public eye on Final Fantasy XIII by revealing a new English trailer for the game yesterday on the 13th of January.
Square Enix have been doing little things like this for previous months on the 13th day as well.
You can hear the English voice overs, listen to My Hands by Leona Lewis and see a montage of Eidolon attacks too in the trailer.
