Final Fantasy 1 - The Story
Walk through and the world is veiled in darkness. The wind stops. The sea is wild. The earth begins to rot. The people wait; their only hope: a prophecy... "When the world is in darkness four warriors will come.." After a long journey, four young warriors arrive, each holding an ORB..." The fantasies begin.
Final Fantasy 1 - About the Game
This game is the beginning of it all. In 1987, a small software company in Japan called Squaresoft, in a try to save itself from bankruptcy, made a game called
Final Fantasy. Pretty soon, the game became one of Japan's most selling RPGs. All great series have a beginning, and Final Fantasy 1 is the great beginning to a great series.
The original Final Fantasy 1 seems like a primitive version of the spectacular games that followed. Paired with high, patience-testing difficulty and an 'old skool' job system, this is still the best Final Fantasy for some of the older RPGers. Although this game doesn't stand out with great graphics (It's 1987, so give it a break! Actually, it was pretty advanced for the time), the
Final Fantasy One game play will absolutely blast you away, and the different party combination's make the replay score extremely high.
Final Fantasy 1 - Game Play and Guide
Life Span: It should take you around 10 to 15 hours to finish Final Fantasy 1 for the first time through.
Game Difficulty Level: If you are playing through game 1 for the first time and you don't have the Final Fantasy guide or map next to you, you will have a lot of trouble.
Graphics: The graphics are pretty much the only flaw in this fantasy game and the reason newer RPGers drop this game. However, if you started with role playing games(and gaming as a whole) during the 1990s, Final Fantasy's graphics will not bother you. More information on
