An extremely energetic person, verging on hyperactive, Rikku has led a very interesting life. Being Al Bhed, she has great knowledge of machina and how it works. She is also Yuna's cousin, and one of her former Guardians who protected Yuna on her journey to defeat Sin. With the world now having entered the Eternal Calm, Rikku has returned to the life of an Al Bhed, and with the aid of her brother, she has become a sphere hunter with the Gullwings.
When one day Rikku came across a very odd sphere, she knew that Yuna had to see it. The image contained in the sphere looked just like him... the friend who was lost when Sin was defeated. Rikku hurried to Besaid to see Yuna. In doing so, a search for the truth began.
