Wakka is the Captain of the Besaid Aurochs - a Blitzball team worthy of the title 'underdogs', as they are known as the worst team in Spira. This does not detract from the fact that Wakka is a funny, goofy guy and his spirits are never low. He follows the teaching of Yevon very seriously, stemming from having been forced to grow up very quickly and care for his younger brother after the deaths of their parents. His brother, Chappu, also died some years later, fighting against Sin.
When he sees Tidus appear on the beach, he seems impressed by his resemblance to his dead brother - seemingly more so as Tidus reveals his Blitzball skills. He has the physical look of a sporty, muscular person and his face seems to always have a smile, and his haircut is one of uniqueness.
Wakka wears the uniform of the Besaid Aurochs and his weapon, naturally, is a Blitzball which makes him ideal against winged enemies. He can find many balls with different abilities that can inflict status and elemental damage. His Overdrive is similar to a slot machine where the player must line up three matching symbols to unleash a powerful attack on his enemies.
