Stage 8b: Fight for the Central Complex
Location: Midgar

Welcome to the Central Complex. Before you even move, turn to the south and look over at the metal girders in the distance to get MEMORY CAPSULE #1.
Follow the WRO and kill the three soldiers in the room to your left. A Card Key will drop from the ceiling. There is also a case with a Hi-potion and a Shop Kiosk in here. Go back out and open the Laser Gate. Clear the soldiers in the area, and pick up the limit breaker in the far left corner, as well as the Mako Point, and any dropped items.
Follow the path and kill any soldiers that get in your way. Keep going until you see a mounted machine-gun. Climb on and aim for the doorway to your left. Deepground will start rushing out. The gun should make them pretty easy to kill off. The last one will drop a Card Key for you. Head up toward the door, and crouch in front of the wrecked train car to get MEMORY CAPSULE #2.
Head through the door, and open the Laser Gate. Shoot the crate for 1000 gil, and then head up the ladder. The "Avoid the aerial mines!" Stage Mission will begin. All you have to do it run through while the laser gates are off, avoiding the hovering mines as you go. About midway to the end, Deepground soldiers will shoot at you from the far end, so be ready to fire.
Follow the WRO members down the hallways, shooting the Deepground soldiers as you go. Eventually, the "Destroy the robotic assault units!" Stage Mission will start. The object is to destroy the robot before it hits the wall and explodes. If you're not trying for the extra points, just lure it forward, then run back into the side hall and let it destroy itself. Otherwise, the machine-gun works well against it.
Follow the path to the Shop Kiosk at the top of the stairs. When you round the corner, to the right there will be a solider on a mounted machine gun. Kill him before he can do any serious damage (if you want to do some more killing, get on the gun yourself and a swarm of Deepgrounds will come at you from the far end of the hall).
Turn around and run down the hall, and jump over the hole in the floor. The room beyond has a network of Laser Gates and some items. Shoot the small round generators to disable them. The first is on some boxes immediately to your right as you enter the room. The second it on top of the stack of boxes in the corner to the right of the door. The third is on the right of the stack of boxes opposite the door. The fourth, and last, is on top of the box in the far corner, next to the wall. For your trouble, you pick up 2000 gil and a Hi-potion.
Backtrack to the mounted gun and go up the ladder. Go through the Mako Point, and into the room on your right (don't go forward far enough to trigger the Laser Gate at the end of the hall just yet). Kill the soldiers in the room, and collect the Card Key they drop, but don't use it just yet. Go back out into the hall and run up to the half open door.
The "Assist the WRO members!" Stage Mission will begin. Switch to your rifle and and go into sniper mode. Crouch and aim through the Laser Gate at the far end of the hall. You must protect the WRO member down there while he disables the gate by sniping the Deepgrounds that try to attack him. When the gate opens, go through.
Follow the path, and take out any remaining soldiers. At the end of this area, you will find some items, and G Report #1. Backtrack and go through the Laser Gate you ignored earlier.
Before opening the gate, stand in front of it, facing away from it, then aim up and to the right for MEMORY CAPSULE #3. Press the button next to the elevator to open it and go in. Press the button inside to go up. When you reach the next floor, the WRO will be facinf off against some Deepgrounds... but the enemy will quickly retreat, and in their place, another assault robot will charge you. Machine-gun it before it can hit you, then run after the Deepground soldiers. Shoot the crates for some ammo and cash.
As you round the corner, the "Defeat the sentry robots!" Stage Mission will trigger. Go up the stairs. At the top, some of those annoying Sentinal bots will come out and attack you. Destroy them and head for the elevator at the end of the hall. Shoot the crates for rifle bullets and gil.
Push the button on the back wall to start the elevator, then turn around. MEMORY CAPSULE #4 is coming up. Have your gun ready. The capsule is on top of a light fixture and will come into view as the elevator rises. When the elevator stops, a soldier with a rocket launcher will break through the crates at the end of the hall.
Don't leave the elevator. If you do, you will be swarmed by Sentinal bots. Shoot the soldiers from a distance, moving back and forth to avoid the rockets. Then proceed forward and handle the Sentinal bots.
Enter the next room, and get the Mako Point to the left. There is a Shop Kiosk on the other side of the wall, and two doors that open into the next room. Go through, but don't go too far into the room. Rosso is waiting for you... but before you trigger the boss fight, you want to pick up MEMORY CAPSULE #5. Move along the wall and go to the western part of the room. The capsule is on top of the walkway against the western wall.
Now go forward and challenge Rosso. The game will Auto-Save.
------ Boss Battle ------
Boss: Rosso the Crimson
Rosso actually has two forms. This is the first. She quick, she's mean, and she's got a gun. Keep your distance if you can. The Galian Beast energy blasts do pretty good damage to her... but if you're low on limit breakers, you may want to save those for her next form. Fire spells also work well on her.
Sometimes, she'll run up and slash you with that blade of hers... it will usually knock you down, so try to recover quickly. When you get her down to about 3/4 her HP remaining, there will be a mid-battle cutscene, and she'll switch to her second form.

------ Boss Battle ------
Boss: Bloodburst Rosso
Now she can do some real damage. She's got a nasty energy attack that homes in on Vincent and can knock him down. She also likes to hack and slash and she still has a gun, in addition to an attack that sends energy at you along the floor.
If you've been saving your limit breakers, now is a good time to use them, because the fact that the Galian Beast's energy blasts home in on their target is very beneficial.

Once you've beaten Rosso, she's still not dead... and she refuses to be killed by Vincent. But she realizes that Vincent is stronger than she is. Her solution to this dilemma? To kill herself before Vincent can. She falls to her death, laughing the whole way down.
