Dirge of Cerberus dated for Europe

Square Enix has just announced that the action-RPG/3rd person shooter follow-up to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will be available across Europe starting November 17. Yes, Dirge of Cerberus is finally getting its European release. The game is said to have the same upgrades and tweaks as the version that was released in North America, including the replacement of the online mode with Extra Hard and Extra Missions modes. Well, it does to me, but according to all the reviews, it's pretty medicore. So I won't dish out the full price on it, maybe when it gets cheaper. Then again, games usually don't get that much cheaper over here, at least not if you're looking for a new copy. The used copies at the store aren't cheap either btw. Maybe on Ebay, but I haven't been on there for months. |

I finished Dirge of Cerberus a week ago and to be honest, it isn't very good. It left me with mixed feelings, but I was mostly disappointed. The battlesystem was awful, I HATE shooters, and this was definitely one of the worst I've played (gameplay wise).. The actual story was decent I suppose, there were some interesting scenes but nothing spectacular, at least not compared to FFVII.. I recommend renting this game before buying it.. |
