I don't think they will do something 'new' becuase they will loose the FF feeling...if they do something new people will say: 'that's not FF' and start to yell at Squarenix. :yes:

They have been doing something 'new' with pretty much every iteration of the FF series, and each time people have feared they'd lose the touch and people have indeed yelled at them.
