FINAL FANTASY XI began its English service in Europe in September 2004. Now, with the launch of German and French services, Square Enix will be aiming for a greater number of users in German/
French-speaking areas.
From early March 2007, we will be offering a language conversion download that will make it possible to play FINAL FANTASY XI in French or German. Available from PlayOnline®, this service will be free of charge. You can change your game to the language of your choice with no additional
fees to the monthly subscription charge.
From late March a new all-in-one package of Final Fantasy XI will be released in Europe for new players. The new packaged version allows you to play in German, French or English. Further details of the new all-in-one pack will be announced at a later date.
How to play the German/French versions
From early March 2007, we will be offering a language conversion download that will make it possible to play FINAL FANTASY XI in French or German.
This service is available for those who play using the EU version of the FINAL FANTASY XI package currently on sale (both Windows® and Xbox 360™ versions).
The display language is automatically changed to the current Windows/Xbox 360 settings when the PlayOnline Viewer is activated. It will still be possible to switch between languages, including
English. Further details will be released at a later date.
