Hajime Tabata: Crisis Core Could Have Been Much More

The game has only been out for a day and already information from the director of Crisis Core leads us to believe that the newest installment of the FFVII Compilation could have been so much more. Memory concerns and schedules with developing the game on a UMD meant that: "a good deal of it ended up on the cutting room floor." Tabata is referring to the original idea they had of much more detailed episodes for the game and also a Multiplayer mode using the PSP network function. Tabata is pleased with what the final game does entail though: "Perhaps the most satisfaction I get from the game is that it functions extremely well as a prequel, and as such, moves seamlessly into FINAL FANTASY VII. After playing the game to the end, I am confident that fans will feel that they have returned to the world of FINAL FANTASY VII."
