Legendary videogame music composer Nobuo Uematsu is to attend the 2006 GC concert that is taking place at the Gewandhaus concert hall on August 23, 2006 in Leipzig, Germany reports Music4games.

At a third-party developer conference on Thursday, Square-Enix president Yoichi Wada listed some of the benefits of of next-gen consoles (i.e. the PS3) always being online. While some of the points he made did sound like a good thing, others are worrying.

SCEE president and CEO David Reeves has revealed that the first PS3s put into production will be those bound for Europe. This decision is rumored to be Sony's attempt at eliminating shortages at launch (they think that by starting to manufacture the units early and pre-stock Europe, they'll have have an easier time meeting demand in Japan and North America). Good news for Europe? Possibily, seeing as they seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to new releases.
