E3 2008: FF VERSUS XIII Still Exclusive To PS3; Nomura Working On A New Game

Square Enix Executive, Shinji Hashimoto, has again stated that FF VERSUS XIII is a PS3 exclusive, in the wake of the surprising news from E3 2008, that FFXIII has gone multiplatform: "We won't change policy," said Hashimoto. "Final Fantasy Versus XIII is still a PlayStation 3 exclusive." Now im not sure if similar things were said when FFXIII was first announced, but at the moment Versus XIII is PS3 bound only. Hashimoto also revealed that Tetsuya Nomura is working on a new game- though only the title is known: "One Goal Spirit.". Obviously Nomura is a busy man at the moment, so One Goal Spirit has taken the back burner, as time and resources go into FFXIII Source: PSU Add to Digg |

That's true. As I recall, FFXIII was originally supposed to be a PS3-exclusive title as well. Whatever brings in the money though, I guess. :p | ||

It wasnt stolen, Sony were unable to hold onto the exclusivity and rights= fair game for Microsoft=more money for Square Enix, who need it. | ||

Are we seriously on this still? Jesus, people.. You do remember this is business we're talking about here, right? Square-Enix is a company and they make decisions based on what brings in money. If PS3 was so much more awesome than X-Box 360, like you claim, this wouldn't have happened. Incidentally, both systems have alot of fans and SE is providing the game to as many fans as possible fans, not just the fanboys of one system. Sometimes, Microsoft or Sony can convince a company to make a game exclusive to their system, by paying them more money to offset the loss of the other system's fanbase. This didn't happen in this case, so SE brought the game to both systems. Like a responsible company should. Now deal with it. | ||

Did somebody just say Nomura's working on a new game? I can't hear anything, for I have been playing The World Ends With You and zippers, pleather, and fashion pins are spilling forth from my every orifice. Kidding, sorry.  Not really a fan, though, yawn. But TWEWY is good! |
