Square Enix have announced they are bringing some of their PS1 games to the PS Store- the Japanese PS Store that is.

Those of you with the PS Store or Virtual Console may have been waiting and anticipating that Square Enix might offer some of their classic backlog of games- it looks like things have come a step further, for the Japanese anyway.

6 titles were available for download on June 25th, which were:

1. Xenogears (Square)
2. Einhander (Square)
3. Astronoka (Enix)
4. Rakugaki Showtime (Enix)
5. Raystorm (Taito)
6. Fighters Impact (Taito)

Siliconera report that they cost 600 yen each and that there 6 more titles forthcoming.

Hopefully they'll bring some of these games in our PS Store as well. People who never got to play Xenogears would get a chance to experience one of the best storylines ever for a RPG.

Why can't they re-release some of these titles, hard-copy, instead of making them take up space on your hard-drive. Damn shame.
