Square Enix Planning Friendly Takeover of Tecmo

Various news outlets are reporting that Square Enix are planning to takeover game makers Tecmo, which would help the RPG giants gain a stronger foothold in the US market.
This news follows recent comments from Yoichi Wada, who admitted earlier in the year, that Square Enix would be looking to invest and take stakes on other companies to combat rising competition.

A few days back, news broke of a guild in a titanic battle with a Notorious Monster in Final Fantasy XI- Pandemonium Warden.
Even after slugging it out for 18 hours (thats not a typo), the guild admitted defeat and were unable to beat it- due to their own well-being.

Star Ocean: First Departure Coming October To Europe And PAL Regions

Square Enix have issued a press release announcing that Star Ocean: First Departure for the PSP will be coming to Europe and PAL territories in October.
This will be a remastered Star Ocean apparently, with a revised game engine, improved battle system and fully voiced animated scenes.

Square Enix and their take on the Space Invaders game, Space Invaders Get Even, will be available for download in October for Wii Ware. It is interesting to note, that the game started out as a full fledged retails release but Square Enix decided to make it Wii Ware instead.

Chrono Trigger DS Coming November 25th To The US

A more definitive release date has been announced for Chrono Trigger DS, according to Siliconera website, it'll be hitting the US this November 25th.
It seems that it wont just be a direct port either, as there are now brand new dungeons (ie more than one) that will be explorable and that there will be some sort of Arena Mode, which Siliconera speculate could be the new wireless mode meaning Player v Player.
