Square Enix: No FFXIII for you this year. Not yours.

According to Japanese sources, echoing earlier reposts, Square Enix won't be publishing any of their upcoming PS3 titles until April 2008, at the very earliest. It was reported earlier that FFXIII wouldn't see release until after the end of the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2008. This latest report seems to confirm that as well as extending it to their other in-development titles.
Joystiq is predicting we won't see any of those titles outside of Japan until 2009 or...

Special Edition DS - It's a Wonderful World

When It's a Wonderful World hits shelves in Japan on July 27, those with some spare cash might want to shell out for the special edition Nintendo DS Lite that goes alone with it.
The game/DS Lite combo will feature a specially made Gloss Silver DS Lite emblazoned withe the Wonderful World logo and title.

God knows Square Enix just loves getting there games on as many systems as possible, these days. It seems they're branching into one more medium now by offering an online games service for PC users. The beta test of Game Town began May 25, and is open to members of of the Square Enix Members rewards program.
Dragon Quest remakes on the horizon?

Keeping to their current trend of remaking every game feasibly remakeable - except for FF7 - Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada strongly implied that the Dragon Quest series is going to be seeing the same treatment as the Final Fantasy series in the very near future.
