With the news that Tecmo had rejected Square Enix and their proposal of a friendly takeover in favour of merging with KOEI, Square Enix are still seeking some sort of reasons as to why they were refused.
I wonder if there are any other companies that Square Enix have their eye on, as they seem pretty peeved by the decision of Tecmo.

Dissidia:Final Fantasy is shaping up to be a neat little action game with its one on one battles.
Over the past few weeks weve seen videos featuring Jecht, Tidus, Onion Knight and today, thanks to SilverKiento, we can see a brand new trailer for the game.
The trailer was uploaded to the official Japanese site and SilverKiento has uploaded it to Youtube, for easier viewing pleasure. It contains previously seen and brand new footage and some FMVs too.

September 4th is upon us and the deadline for Tecmo accepting the proposal has passed. Tecmo have released a statement which outlines why they decided to reject the offer in favour of merging with KOEI instead:
"Through a merger, we expect we can grow further by respecting both companies' identities and having an environment in which employees can fully exhibit their skills," Tecmo and Koei said in a statement"

Sony were announcing a few new PSP bundles today and have somewhat released the Japanese date for Dissidia: Final Fantasy along with them!
Dissidia is confirmed for December 18th, and it has now been officially announced on the Square Enix site for the game, according to one of our eagle eyed members, SilverKiento.
Siliconera report that itll hit Japanese stores just in time for Christmas, a great stocking filler for those looking forward to it over in Asia.

Square Enix have announced that their exclusive Xbox360 title, Infinite Undiscovery, has been released in America- September 2nd. Europeans can get ahold of the game on September 5th and Japanese on the 11th of September.
The game, from Square Enix and Tri Ace, centres on a young man named Capell, who is mistaken for a hero named Sigmund and captured by the nefarious Order of Chains. The Order are threatening the existence of the moon and the world itself.

One of our eagle eyed members, SilverKiento, spotted a new Dissidia: Final Fantasy gameplay video on the japanese official site for the game.
Previously we have seen the Onion Knight vs Cloud of Darkness battle, which was longer and a bit more intense.
That being said, those Final Fantasy fans who liked FFX might like to see Jecht and Tidus slug it out, with the music in the background which might make you nostalgic. Plus, thrown into the mix, you get to see an Overdrive from Tidus.

Everquest II, City of Heroes and Age of Conan have adopted this idea, now it seems Square Enix are to follow in their footsteps.
They are going to introduce a system to Final Fantasy XI, whereby characters of varying degrees of levels will be able to play together.
Named Level Sync, it allows the party to 'power down' to the level of a designated player. (Stat bonuses from equipment will also be affected by this and be scaled down too)
